Description
Optos Daytona allows doctors to perform Retinal Scans to See What is Otherwise Invisible to the Human Eye without using eyedrops or dilation.
The Optos Daytona provides very high-resolution images. It can capture images through 2mm pupils and many cataracts. This machine is a digital, non-mydriatic, ultra-widefield scanning laser ophthalmoscope.
Daytona scans the back of the eye with two lasers, or retina, through the undilated iris.
It is a brand-new, installed Daytona purchased in March 2016 and has been used lightly since. It is essentially new!
The Daytona allows us to quickly and thoroughly screen and assess the retina and decide if it requires further attention.
The Optos Daytona device takes wide images of a patient’s retina. The pupil size usually limits what an imaging system or camera can see in the retina. The Optos Daytona uses special technology to take retinal images. It captures them as if it were inside the eye.
Features:
- Non-mydriatic ultra-high resolution images in under a second, through 2 mm pupils and many cataracts
- Red and green lasers; each wavelength provides information for interpretation and diagnosis. Channels can be viewed separately:
- Green (532 nm) “red-free” visualizes the sensory retina to the RPE
- Red (635 nm) shows deeper structures of the retina (RPE to Choroid)
- Ultra-widefield autofluorescence imaging with green laser light displays lipofuscin in the RPE
- Images are available immediately and stored electronically for future comparison or telehealth applications
- Innovative software tools enhance image evaluation
- DICOM compatible
Image Type of optomap and optomap plus (red and green laser):
- Color Composite View
- Green Laser View
- Red Laser View
